Trade exams

We will conduct the following Hairdressing trade assessments:

1. Occupational Certificate Hairdressing SAQA 102497, OFO 514101.

ARPL and NON ARPL

2. Legacy Certificate Hairdressing OFO 514101 (ARPL) and NON ARPL:

1. Ladies Caucasian

2. Ladies Afro

3. Gents barbering

Procedures and Requierments

1. Occupational Certificate Hairdressing SAQA 102497, OFO 514101

i. To qualify to do a trade exam the candidate must be in possession of a Level 2,3 and Level 4 certificate from SSETA and an accredited learning institution College or finished the new curriculum SAQA 102497 at an accredited learning institution College.

2. Occupational Certificate Hairdressing OFO 514101 (ARPL)

ARPL-Artisan Recognition of prior learning

The candidate must supply the HTTC with proof of 3 years practical work in a salon, performing all the services as required for the relevant trade exam.

3. Legacy Certificate Hairdressing OFO 514101, Ladies Caucasian, Ladies Afro and Men's Barbering

The candidate must supply the HTTC with proof of 3 years practical work in a salon, performing all the services as required for the relevant trade exam.

Hairdressing short courses

1. These courses are only available to qualified Hairdressers or Hairdressers with minimum 3 years' experience in a Hairdressing Salon

3. Operators/shampooist training

4. Up-style and glamour styles

5. Men's Barbering
